Although the weather the nite befor indicated it would be an ok day, saturday morning I awoke to a constant light rain. That, and the lack of wind, caused a low turnout for the Windfest event, a kite festival.
There were a variety of banners of various colours which livened up the dull day.
Some of the kites were of a basic type,
while others were multilayered, with lots of strings required to keep them flying.
Even the kids were involved, racing with small parchutes across the beach.
Also on hand was a Legion Band playing in one of the covered pavillions. They kept the crowd enthralled by their music.
And of course, if there's something going on in the City, there's going to be a politician trying to get elected!
