butterflies in Cambridge

While I was out in the Waterloo area, I decided to check out the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory. Its a smaller version of the Niagara Falls location, but still full of interesting things, and a little more local to the GTA.

The butterflies include the Owl Butterfly

the Banded Orange

Rice Paper

Tiger Longwing

Doris

Its not just flying butterflies, there were also a store where you could buy examples of "framed" creaters,

A large display of many types of huge beetles

A walking stick

and even a Quail. I was told that the quail likes to eat the butterflies after they die and drop to the floor!

One of the more famous flying criters is the deaths head moth, which was made famous in the movie Silence of the Lambs.
