Christmas is coming!!

As the weather starts to turn colder, (and as the TV adds remind us!), its getting close to Christmas.
To celebrate the season, the Yonge BIA held the Winter Magic Illuminite at Yonge Dundas Square.

I went down early (4:30), but the Y&D parking lot was full, so off to City Hall I went, to find workers putting up some more lights at the square. After all, next weekend is the winter Calvacade of Lights.

The host of the event was Roger Petterson, who works at local TV station in the area (sorry, they fired lots of peeps, but I'm sure you know who they are, after all, they are "everywhere").

First up was a fusion of ballet, rap, and apparently home improvement, as they worked on on some type of shelving scaffolding.

The group also included a young member who did some pretty good break dancing!

Then a white ghost like character kicked the ass of one of the other dancers!

With all he arrows on their jacket (plus the shelf type thing in the background), I'm pretty sure that these guys got some government funding from the Economic Action Plan!

Next, a series of tall figures took to the square, cackling loudly as they apparently hunted for food throughout the square,

which they apparently then fed to their freshly born, still in the egg, offspring!

Above them, with no sign of wires or ropes (!)

other offspring, after being fed, attempted to fly...

before shooting flames out of their wings!

Then, what I can only assume where some type of red robed devil worshipers began to do some fire assisted dance,

and then shoot fire into the crowd!

The obvious result of all this work was that the LED christmas ball tree thingee

also began to shoot fire, into the sky!

The lights entertained the kids,

and with that, it was over!

I think even Santa was impressed!
