Henrys Photo Show

With a free ticket(cause it ain't worth the 15 bucks...why do we always have to pay someone for the luxury of spending our money!) I headed over to the other side of the Internation Centre to check out the Henrys show. To be honest, the only thing I like is to check out the models!
Today there were two models, one at the Sigma booth, and one at the Olympus. The Olympus girl was off to the side (north wall) and seemed pretty bored. I don't think a lot of people see her back at the rear of the Olympus booth, but I was lucky that I went in. She was very nice, and very beautiful!

Snowmobile/ATV show

I had the day off today, so I headed off to the International Centre, to check out the outdoor portion of the Snowmobile ATV show. The snowmobiles were doing freestyle jumping, while the ATV's were having a small race (tight track!) to show off there skills. The three snowmobile riders did some amazing stunts including back flips with their machines! You can find more info here.

The Force

I've been fascinated with the groups of Star Wars fans who go all out to create the look of the movie in real life.
I saw some guys at a Milton Fire Department event, and then found out there would be more members at a Pottery Barn for Kids event, so I headed to Sherway Gardens.
On the way, I ended up driving west on the east bound Hwy 401! There was some accident, and as I went from the 410 to the 401, the highway came to a complete stop. Everybody started doing this S turn from southbound 410, to west on the east bound 401, then back the righ direction and off at Dixie Rd! Kind of freaky, and the whole time I was doing it I was thinking "There should be cops here!! This is dangerous" but at the same time, I was glad they were not there or I would sill be in the traffic jam!!
Once at Sherway, there were two stormtroopers, Luke Skywalker, and RTD2. I tell you, it was amazing how many people were fascinated by the experience. Everyone was trying to get photo's with them. Info can be found at the 501st and the Rebel Legion.

Waterfalls

Monday, Thanksgiving, was supposed to be grey, cold, and rainy. So, what the heck, Joe Fresh, as my brother calls me, headed out to Acton to pick up James and head to the city of our name, Hamilton.
First stop was Ablion Falls. Great location, lots of ways down to the bottom and a nice looking falls.
We then headed back into the main part of the City to Chedoke Falls, which is basically a park on one side, and an outfall on the other. James climbed down to experience the full effect.
I later find out from a web site (Vanishing Point)that there is a serious cross connection issue with sanitary flows entering into the storm sewer! Glad I didn't end up down at the bottom!
